ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES:
All students intending to major in Dance or Dance Education must meet the Jacksonville University requirements for admissions and must complete an official application with the University's Admissions office.
Additionally, students applying for admission into either the BFA degree in Dance, BA degree in Dance or the BA degree in Dance Education must gain admission into the chosen degree program through the a live audition process.


AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
All prospective dance majors are required to audition during one of Jacksonville Universities scheduled Open houses. Built into the scheduled events is a dance sample class taught by two of our current faculty. The class will consist of a ballet barre, modern center/crossings, and a short jazz combination. Attire for this class should be neat, clean, and allow for clear observation of alignment and execution of movement. Hair should be secured to allow for full and energetic movement. No Large Jewelry. There will be time for addition/removal of appropriate shoes.
