Jacksonville University Summer
Intensive
Two Weeks of Training For the Professional and Pre-Professional
Of intermediate/advanced students ages 10 and up.
Date: July 21 - August 1, 2008
Classes 10:00am – 5:00pm Monday - Friday
Tuition:
Includes daily lunch, classes and rehearsals for final performance
$550.00 for two weeks
300.00 for one week
Residential Tuition:
Includes includes daily classes and rehearsals for the final performance, dorm room on the Jacksonville University campus with double occupancy
and full-time supervision, three meals a day, access to all JU facilities
including swimming pool, workout rooms etc., and weekend and evening outings
and activities
$1,550.00 for two weeks
$825.00 for single weeks
College student work/study opportunity:
College students currently enrolled in an accredited University/College
are eligible for work-study tuition reduction programs
Scholarships:
A limited number of talent and need-based scholarships are available
A Scholarship audition is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2008
at Jacksonville University; 11:00-12:30 in the JU Dance Pavilion
Requirements: Resume, dance photo, letter of recommendation,
and audition fee $15 - the audition will consist of a ballet class.
Planned weekend events:
Cummer Art Museum in Historic Riverside/Avondale District
With a walk to “Five Points” in Riverside for shopping, coffee,
and fun
Hannah Park in Atlantic Beach
Swimming, Surfing, and a cook out on the beach
Welcome Picnic on the first weekend
With a gift bag, food, and fun games to get to know each other
A look at a day at the Intensive at Jacksonville University
Classes run from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm with a lunch break
The morning is spent with technique classes
The afternoon is spent with a variety of elective classes
